Always an honor & event, the annual WTM show dedicated to Blurt’s annual return to Amsterdam. This avant punk-funk ensemble has never stood still, in fact, ex-puppeteer Milton is the hardest working man in show business not that James Brown has left the premises. They always sound the same but uniquely so. This is the conundrum of a simple sound that maintains both a primal quality & a kind of intellectual rigor so that certain themes or rhythms recur while the post-Dada lyrics, a heightened poesie, flitter & jab in the midst of the ever strong heartbeat & fluttering, tearing, scorching sax… This is to honor Milton & gang & announce their latest tour.
March 19 OCCII BLURT: Milton: vocals/sax   Steve Eagles: guitar   David Aylward: drums, Wreck: DJ
